Differences Between Goat And Cow Milk

Goat Milk:

  • has a lower level of alphas1-casein and a greater proportion of beta-casein compared to cow milk
  • has more medium chain fatty acids than cow milk
  • has higher levels of nucleotides than cow milk, similar to human milk  
  • contains more taurine and other free amino acids than cow milk
  • has a larger casein micelle structure than cow milk
  • contains more calcium and phosphate
  • is secreted differently to cow milk, by a process similar to that of human milk
